Wolin National Park

WOLINSKI

The Wolin National Park is the first marine park in Poland with a protected coastal strip of the Baltic Sea. The most valuable area of the Park is a large section of the protected cliff coast and the preserved primeval beech forest, with particularly valuable orchid beech trees and 9 species of orchids. In addition, a unique archipelago of islands in the retrograde delta of Świna can be found there along with postglacial lakes including a turquoise lake and a bison demonstration farm, where on 28 ha a surviving and restored species of Polish bison lives.

Center of Slavs and Vikings

The Slavs and Vikings Center is located on the Dziwna River in Wolin. This settlement is a reconstruction of early medieval buildings in Wolin. The reconstruction works are carried out on the basis of archaeological excavations conducted in this city for over 100 years. The settlement is now an open-air museum. While visiting the residential and craft buildings, you can see what the everyday life of ancient people could have been like and admire replicas of furniture, tools and everyday objects from 1000 years ago. All exhibits can not only be viewed, but also you can try out their operation and use!

Swinoujscie

LIGHTHOUSE
The lighthouse in Świnoujście

Świnoujście is the only city in Poland located on several dozen islands. The largest of them are the Polish island of Wolin, the island of Uznam, a part of which is Świnoujście, and the green Karsibór – an island created as a result of the construction of the Piast Canal. The other islands are picturesquely scattered across the Świna Delta. Świnoujście is a health resort town, dynamically developing and investing in recent years. Beautiful beaches, pearls of spa architecture, a photogenic mill on a breakwater, the tallest brick lighthouse in the world, historic forts of the Świnoujście Fortress, the mysterious Underground City from the Cold War, are just some of the attractions that await tourists.


Hortulus Thematic Gardens in Dobrzyca

Hortulus theme gardens include over 6,000 different plant species and nearly 30 different theme gardens spread over an area of over 4 ha. Among them are those closely related to the type of environment, including rock garden, forest garden; related to art and culture, eg Japanese, French or Mediterranean, or a garden in the style of the outstanding architect Antoni Gaudi. Theme gardens are a feast of nature colors from spring to autumn! This wonderfully arranged place gives everyone the opportunity to relax and rest in communing with nature.

Kolobrzeg

Kołobrzeg is a city frequently visited by patients and tourists. In the spa district, mineral water springs, brine and mud deposits are used for balneological purposes, and tourists hungry for sun rays stroll along the beautiful and long pier. It is worth stopping in this city for a while to feel the summer and lazy atmosphere of the resort.


Slowinski National Park

PARK

Słowiński National Park is one of two Polish seaside parks. It was created to protect primarily moving dunes, but also the system of coastal lakes, swamps, peat bogs, meadows and coastal forests. Its high natural value is proved by belonging to the international network of protected areas such as the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve or the Ramsar wetland area. From the highest Łącka Dune there are spectacular views and you can feel at least for a moment like in a desert 😉

The Village Museum in Kluki

The Museum of the Słowiński Village is located in the very center of the Słowiński National Park, in the town of Kluki, on the shore of Łebsko Lake. Tucked away between forests and lakes, this small town has maintained much of its authenticity. The Museum of the Slovinian Village in Kluki was created with the intention of saving the material culture of the former Kashubian population, known in these areas as Słowińcy or Kashubia Łebskie. While strolling among traditional Slovinian farms depicting the life of former inhabitants, you can go back in time and feel like a resident of a seaside village in Łeba.

Volkswagen Museum in Pepowo

Volkswagen Museum in Pępowo

There is a unique private museum of Volkswagen cars in Pępowo. The owners managed to restore and save from oblivion such gems as the iconic Beetles, hippie T1 bus or the original Kübelwagen from the fire brigade. In addition, the museum has a collection of miniature cars made in a scale from 1:64 to 1:18. It has over 1000 exhibits! You just have to see it!

Tri-City (Gdansk – Gdynia – Sopot)

And at the end of our trip, we can say that the pearl of Pomerania, i.e. Sopot and Gdańsk. Sopot is another city on our route with the rank of a health resort. The city, as a seaside and health resort, functioned already at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Stylish architecture, the longest wooden pier in Europe and a beautiful wide beach attract crowds of tourists every year. The second point is the Old Town in Gdańsk, where the most popular tourist route is a walk along the Royal Route. Walking along the central axis of Gdańsk’s Old Town, you can see many architectural gems, starting from the Golden Gate and the Amber Museum, through the Uphagen House, City Hall, Long Market, Artus Court, Neptune’s Fountain and ending with the Green Gate located on the Motława River.
